This Privacy Policy explains how Space Laika LLC ("we", "us", "our"), a Wyoming limited liability company at 30 North Gould Street, STE R, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States, handles personal data in connection with the FoleyGen service at foleygen.ai (the "Service").
Space Laika LLC is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us at privacy@spacelaika.com.
1. What we collect
Account data. Your email address, name if you provide one, password hash, and account settings.
Content you upload. The video files you upload for processing ("Input Videos"), and the audio we generate from them ("Output"). Input Videos may contain personal data — for example, images or voices of identifiable people — if you choose to include them. We process Input Videos in order to generate Output and delete them immediately afterwards; see Section 3.
Usage data. Records of your activity in the Service: number and length of files processed, timestamps, plan and quota usage, feature usage, error logs.
Technical data. IP address, browser and device type, operating system, and similar information collected automatically when you use the Service.
Support communications. Messages you send us and our replies.
What we do NOT collect. We never see or store your full card number, CVC, or bank details. Payments are processed by Link, LLC (a Stripe company), which acts as the merchant of record. We receive only limited information such as the last four digits of your card, its brand, your billing country, and the status of each transaction.
2. Why we use it, and our legal basis

We do not use your Input Videos or Output to train, fine-tune, or improve any artificial intelligence model, and we contract with our processing providers on terms that prohibit them from doing so either. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
3. How long we keep it
Input Videos: we do not store them. Your uploaded video is held only for as long as it takes to process it, and is deleted automatically as soon as processing completes or fails — typically within minutes. Input Videos are never written to our backups and are never retained for any other purpose.
Output: the generated audio is stored for 7 days so that you can download it, and is then deleted automatically. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time by emailing privacy@spacelaika.com, and we will remove it. Backups containing Output are overwritten within a further 30 days.
Account data: kept while your account is active, and for 30 days after you delete it, so the deletion can be reversed if requested in error.
Transaction and tax records: retained for as long as required by US and applicable foreign tax law, typically 7 years. These records are held by Link as merchant of record and by us in summary form.
Logs and technical data: typically 90 days.
4. Who we share it with
We share personal data only with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract, and only as needed to run the Service:
- Link, LLC and Stripe, Inc. — payments, subscription management, invoicing, and indirect tax compliance as merchant of record.
- Cloud hosting and storage providers — storing and serving your files and our application.
- Artificial intelligence and media processing providers — third-party services that analyse your Input Video and generate the sound effects. We select these providers and may change them from time to time. We engage them on paid or enterprise service terms under which submitted content and generated results are not used to train or improve their models, and are processed only to return a result to us.
- Email delivery provider — sending account and service emails.
- Analytics and error monitoring — understanding usage and diagnosing faults.
We may also disclose data where required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.

5. International transfers
We are based in the United States and our providers operate in the United States and other countries. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, your personal data will be transferred outside your country. Where required, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, or an equivalent lawful transfer mechanism, together with appropriate technical and organisational safeguards.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate data;
- delete your data;
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
If you are a California resident, you additionally have the right to know what categories of personal data we collect, to request deletion, to correct data, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal data as those terms are defined under California law.
To exercise any right, email privacy@spacelaika.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
7. Security
We use encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and least-privilege practices to protect your data. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal data and poses a risk to you, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
8. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to secure the Service. Where required by law, we ask for your consent before setting analytics or other non-essential cookies, and you can change your choice at any time.
9. Children
FoleyGen is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact privacy@spacelaika.com and we will delete it.
10. Changes
We may update this Policy. If a change materially affects how we handle your personal data, we will notify you by email or in the Service before it takes effect. The date at the top shows when this Policy was last revised.
